SPX Gamma Active Trader Tools: EOD Range Insights

What is SPX Gamma EOD Range Insights?

EOD Range Insights is a supporting widget in the Active Trader Dashboard’s End of Day Range layout. It displays seller-defined support and resistance alongside the SPX price path, helping traders follow how late-session structure develops into the close.

Where do the displayed support and resistance levels come from?

The levels come from the End of Day Range program. Significant put selling can define potential support, while significant call selling can define potential resistance. The widget plots the published boundaries so traders can compare their location with SPX price behavior.

When do the levels update?

The displayed levels update every ten minutes beginning at 2:30 PM Eastern. Successive observations help traders assess whether boundaries remain stable, shift, or disappear as seller activity changes.

What is the difference between a complete range and a one-sided structure?

A complete range has both support and resistance. A one-sided structure has only one identified boundary. Traders should distinguish the two because a single support or resistance level does not establish containment on both sides of SPX.

What does the gold overlap level represent?

The gold overlap level and shaded ten-point zone identify overlapping seller-defined support and resistance. This differs from a conventional range with clearly separated boundaries. Traders should examine price behavior and the underlying activity to interpret the overlap.

What do the white hash marks mean?

White hash marks identify a boundary the program considers more vulnerable to challenge. They prompt closer examination of the supporting conditions rather than guarantee that the level will break.

How does EOD Range Insights fit into the evaluation process?

Begin with Market Intelligence to identify the current structure. Use the Flow Map to verify the seller activity behind the published levels, then examine EOD Range Insights to see how price has behaved around those boundaries through time.

What do GEX Phase Delta Flow and the GEX Trend Monitor add?

GEX Phase Delta Flow provides context around gamma conditions and directional option flow. The GEX Trend Monitor adds directional-strength context. Together, they help traders evaluate whether developing conditions support containment or increase pressure on a boundary.

How should traders assess whether the range is becoming less reliable?

Follow which boundaries are present, how they change between updates, and how SPX responds near them. Compare those observations with gamma conditions and directional strength. Seller-defined levels remain reference points, and changing pressure can challenge a structure that appeared stable earlier.
