Active Trader Market Intelligence End of Day Range

What does End of Day Range Market Intelligence identify?

End of Day Range Market Intelligence evaluates late-session option-selling activity to identify potential SPX support and resistance. Its assessments describe the closing structure and help traders evaluate whether conditions support containment or suggest increasing pressure on a boundary.

What does each ten-minute update communicate?

Each update reassesses the seller-defined levels and the structure present at that point in the session. Comparing successive posts helps traders follow whether boundaries remain stable, shift, disappear, or develop into a different condition.

Why are both boundaries required for a complete EOD Range?

Put selling can define potential support, while call selling can define potential resistance. A complete EOD Range requires both. With only one boundary, traders have a one-sided reference rather than a two-sided structure for evaluating containment.

What does an Asymmetric EOD Range mean?

An Asymmetric EOD Range indicates that the two-sided structure is uneven. Traders should examine the published boundaries, SPX’s location, and the supporting activity to understand the imbalance rather than assume both sides provide equivalent containment.

How should Bullish EOD Flow and Bearish EOD Flow be interpreted?

These states describe one-sided late-session structure. Bullish EOD Flow identifies a bullish assessment associated with put-selling support, while Bearish EOD Flow identifies a bearish assessment associated with call-selling resistance. Neither establishes a complete range or guarantees directional movement.

What does Structure Unclear mean?

Structure Unclear means the program has not identified sufficiently clear seller-defined structure for a more specific assessment. Traders should avoid assuming that a reliable range or directional opportunity exists and examine the underlying activity for further evidence.

How can traders verify published support and resistance?

Use the Flow Map to inspect the seller activity behind the published levels. EOD Range Insights then shows those boundaries alongside the SPX price path, helping traders evaluate how price has responded and how the structure has changed through time.

How do GTS and Net GEX add context?

GTS helps assess directional strength. Elevated or strengthening GTS can increase pressure on one side of the range, while lower strength can be more supportive of containment. Net GEX adds gamma-exposure context to the assessment. Neither measurement guarantees that a boundary will hold.

Why can containment weaken during the final fifteen minutes?

Late-session flows and changing directional pressure can challenge a structure that appeared stable earlier. As SPX approaches settlement, traders should reassess price behavior, seller activity, GTS, and Net GEX rather than carry an earlier range assumption through the close.
